Jennifer Hudson's Startling 80 Pound Weight Loss; Here's How

Jennifer Hudson wallpapersJennifer Hudson had jaws dropping when she showed up looking skinner than ever in a form-fitting black velvet Dolce & Gabbana dress at the Keep a Child Alive’s 7th Annual Black Ball in New York Sept. 30, 2010. Here’s how she did it.

Hudson, 29, has shed 80 pounds in the past 12 months thanks to Weight Watchers and working out five days a week with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak.

Jennifer, who slimmed down from a size 16 to a 6, revealed that she wanted to lose weight to set a good example for her son, David, who was born in August 2009.

“I feel like I’ve conquered the world,” Hudson recently told ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

“Her middle, thighs and butt are more toned than ever. She’s excited about her new body,” said Pasternak.

Jennifer, who has been heavy all her life, attributes her dramatic weight loss to portion control and circuit-training workouts.

Rather than starving and binging, Hudson eats what she wants (within limits) and has adjusted her attitude toward dieting so it’s a long-term solution, rather than a short-term goal.

In fact, Jennifer has lost so much weight that fans barely recognize her now.

“I was in an airport and the girl working the X-ray machine said, ‘Anybody ever tell you you look like Jennifer Hudson?’

“I was like, ‘I am.’ And she said, ‘No you’re not. Because you’re skinny! Jennifer Hudson ain’t skinny!”

Well, now she is.

Best Natural Appetite Suppressants

Going on a diet could be hard, you cannot eat anything you want and it makes you hungry. One of the biggest challenge in the journey of loosing weight is controlling your appetite. You can control your hunger without turning to pills or chemicals that you do not know much about. When it comes to suppressants you have to decide what works best for you, either taking supplements or natural suppressants.

To control your hunger, it is not necessary to turn to pills or potions. Mother nature is so good that she has provided a number of natural appetite suppressants. It is in the form of water, broth, pickles, green leafy vegetables, and apples. You should start storing this food and be ready when hunger strikes.

Simple drinking water. Water is an amazing substance. Your body is 55 to 60 percent water, so this is a substance that you constantly need to renew. But, water has other effects as well. If you get hungry and it is not meal time, you will often find that drinking an 8 ounce glass of water takes away hunger. Wait 10 minutes after drinking the water before eating anything. Most of the time, you will find that you do not need to eat.

There are people who does not like water. That is very unfortunate because it does so many good things for your body. But, if that is the case for you, organic vegetable broth is a food that fills you up. The body processes water as a liquid, but it processes broth as a food. This means that broth satisfies the need of your body for food. Chicken broth is an acceptable substitute. Heat up 32 ounces of the broth and try to make it through all of the soup. You will probably find that you cannot before you are stuffed. And you will do it on only 20 calories!

Green leafy vegetables. Green leafy vegetables are the third of our natural appetite suppressants. They have so few calories that you do not even have to count them! In fact, many of these can even be considered negative calorie foods because it takes more energy for the body to digest the vegetables than it is calories. If you are going to use salad dressing, find a very low calorie dressing and use it sparingly. You should not use more than 100 calories of dressing on a big bowl of salad greens.

Pickles. Pickles are not just for pregnant women anymore. An entire jar of organic dill pickles has only 50 calories. So, when you need something to munch on, a pickle spear might fit the bill.

Apples. Apples are great natural appetite suppressants. Apples may be the highest calorie food on this list, but they are packed with fiber. An apple will fill you up for a long time. They are also sweet, so when you crave for a cookie, grab an apple instead.
